Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. The Cleaning Technician assigned to Cal Fire Fortuna is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for Cal Fire personnel and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work independently while meeting GHCS quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Dust and wipe horizontal surfaces
- Clean and disinfect touchpoints
- Vacuum carpets and entrance mats
- Sweep and mop hard surface floors
- Clean breakroom/kitchen areas
- Monitor and report supply needs
- Submit required nightly completion photos
- Report maintenance concerns or building issues to GHCS management
Qualifications
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services
- Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- Excellent stamina and physical health
- Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
